Jajpur: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra visited Jajpur district on Sunday and reviewed implementation of different ongoing developmental programmes.
Issues relating to ground-level implementation of the projects were discussed and resolved at the review meeting with officers concerned.
Addressing mediapersons, Mahapatra said several developmental works are being undertaken in the district headquarters. Those include the Maa Biraja temple renovation, administrative building on 40 acres land and DHH building work has started and is likely to be completed in a year-and-half, he said.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the development works at Vyas Nagar and Kalinga Nagar in the district.
Livelihood projects, smart classrooms in schools to ensure best education to children were the other issues discussed at the meeting.
Setting timelines for completion of different projects, including those being taken up under DMF, Mahapatra directed officers concerned to commission the projects within the deadline so that the purpose is served and people could avail the benefits.
He also directed to maximise outcomes of the projects through field level convergence of related departments.
