Bhubaneswar: Following a directive from the Chief Minister, two senior officials on Saturday left to oversee the COVID-19 situation in the two western Odisha districts of Nuapada and Kalahandi near the border with Chhattisgarh.
Officials said Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradipta Mohapatra will review the COVID-19 situation and discuss measures to contain the virus with district and police officials.
Notably, Kalahandi and Nuapada districts have reported 437 and 597 positive cases in the last nine days since April 1.
