Cuttack: A total of 5,296 candidates, including 1,749 women, have been qualified for the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) main written exams.
As per the results of Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2021, which were declared on Thursday, 2,802 (women 944) successful candidates are from unreserved (UR) category, 475 (women 144) from SEBC, 877 (women 294) from SC and 1,142 (women 367) from ST, stated an OPSC press release.
The roll numbers of selected candidates can be checked at the OPSC website — www.opsc.gov.in.
The Odisha Civil Services exam is conducted in three phases — preliminary exams, main exams and personality test.
There are 433 vacancies for different posts, including 142 women, of which 230 (women 77) are for UR category, 39 (women 12) for SEBC, 71 (women 23) for SC and 93 (women 30) for ST.
A total of 58,241 (women 20,930) applications were received for the OCS 2021 exams. The number of candidates who appeared for the Prelims, held on October 16, was 29,295 (women 10,284).
The Main written exam is scheduled to be held in February 2023.
