Odisha: Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator Arrested For Taking Rs 20,000 Bribe

Koraput: Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) of Bijaghati section Singhsethi Kissan Kumar in Narayanpatna of Koraput district was arrested by the Vigilance officials on Tuesday for taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

Kumar is serving in the office of Block Education Officer (BEO), Narayanpatna. He had demanded the money from an Assistant Teacher for updating service records and facilitating withdrawal of his promotional salary in his present posting under BEO, Boipariguda block.

Acting on the complaint of the assistant teacher, Vigilance laid a trap and caught Kumar red-handed in a ‘Grahaka Seva Kendra’. The bribe money was seized from Kumar’s possession, stated a release by the Vigilance.

Simultaneous searches have been launched at the residence of Kumar and his office chamber at Narayanpatna, Koraput. Kumar will be forwarded to court.

Vigilance has registered a case against Kumar and investigation is on.
