Bhubaneswar: Following the tragic demise of Naba Das, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday allocated the Health and Family Welfare department to Niranjan Pujari, who is holding the finance portfolio.
“With approval of Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik allocates Health and Family Welfare department to Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari,” a CMO release said.
Naba Das died on Sunday evening hours after he was shot by Gopal Das, an assistant sub-inspector of police. His mortal remains would be consigned to flames at his ancestral village with state honours. The Odisha government has also declared three-day mourning in the state.
