Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced seven days of relief for families of 128 marooned villages of Cyclone Yaas-hit districts.
Reviewing the post-cyclone situation, he directed concerned departments to ensure the repair and reconstruction of damaged roads and 80 per cent restoration of electricity supply in affected districts in the next 24 hours.
Chief Minister congratulated all Panchayat representatives, district administration, community organizations and the police for their excellent work in evacuating people from low-lying areas in time.
He thanked doctors and health workers for providing uninterrupted service in affected districts during the cyclone.
The CM also expressed his gratitude to Fire services staff for their commendable work during and the ongoing post-cyclone restoration activities.
