Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday said that the state government will create new posts for the development of women and children.
“The state government attaches great importance to women and child welfare and the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) plays a key role in this regard. Keeping this in view, the state government has decided to reinforce human resources at the district and sub-divisional level for effective management of activities in convergence with other departments and for effective monitoring of delivery services,” the Chief Minister told mediapersons here.
As decided, 93 posts of programme officers at the CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) at the sub-division and district level, 13 posts of District Social Welfare Officers (DSWOs) and two posts of deputy director-cum-deputy secretary at the state level will be created.
These posts will bring immense improvement in the delivery system, he added.
