Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced Rs 15 lakh incentive each for ace javelin thrower Kishore Jena and hockey star Amit Rohidas who are set to represent Odisha in Paris Olympics.
According to official sources, the cash incentive announced by the CM is aimed to act as a motivation for the two talented sportspersons of the state.
The Chief Minister has expressed the hope that this will inspire and motivate both Jena and Rohidas. It will provide them motivation for presenting an excellent performance at the upcoming Olympics.
Describing Olympics as a mega event in sports and games, Majhi said by qualifying to participate in the global event, Jena and Rohidas have made their native places as well as whole Odisha proud.
Noting that strong willpower, hard work, dedication and perseverance displayed by the two sportspersons will inspire young and budding talents in Odisha, the CM wished them success in the mega event.
