Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced ex-gratia of Rs three lakh each for the families of the three school students who died in a road mishap in Sonepur disrict.
The chief minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and directed the district administration to take all necessary steps for providing medical facilities for treatment of the injured.
He announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 for the injured and wished a quick recovery, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.
It may be noted here that three Class VI students were killed while another sustained critical injuries after being hit by a speeding car near Saradhapalli chhak on Sonepur-Binika road earlier on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Subrat Bhoi (11), Rajesh Pera (10) and Raja Pera (10), all students of Saradhapalli Upper Primary School.
