Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced Rs 3 lakh compensation each to the kin of three young girls, who died after an SUV ploughed into wedding revellers at Mandiapalli under Gopalpur police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district last night.
While expressing grief over the deaths, Naveen also directed for appropriate and free treatment of the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.
Fifteen persons were injured in the accident and admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. Two among them were later shifted to Visakhapatnam in critical condition.
