Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the death of two college students after drowning in a dam near Choudwar’s in Cuttack district on Wednesday and announced ex-gratia of Rs four lakh for the families of the deceased.
The Chief Minister announced the ex-gratia amount of Rs four lakh from the State Disaster Relief Fund for the families of the deceased.
In a post on X handle, Majhi expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
Notably, two students drowned in Damadamani Dam under Choudwar police limits in Cuttack district on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Srutik Satpathy and Swayam Sanket Das, were Plus-II students in Stewart Science College in Cuttack.
