Odisha CM Asks Admin To Provide Medical Treatment To Bhadrak Boy With Rare Disease

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday asked the Bhadrak administration to provide immediate medical assistance to 14-year-old Babuli Barik, suffering from a rare disease, Traumatic Neuro Motor Disorder.

According to a CMO release, a doctors’ team visited his home at Madhapur village to examine him as per his instruction. After check up, the boy was referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for further treatment.

Majhi, who got to know about the boy’s problem from various social media channels and other media sources, has also sanctioned immediate assistance of Rs 30,000 to the family from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The district administration will be in touch with the family to provide any further support required, the release added.
