Odisha CM Attends Sainik School Diamond Jubilee Celebration; Advises Student To Seize Every Opportunity

Bhubaneswar: Expressing the hope that Sainik Schook Bhubaneswar will continue to transform future citizens, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday advised its students to seize each and every opportunity and live up to the expectations of the nation.

Speaking at the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Sainik School in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister said, “I am delighted to join all of you at this momentous occasion, the diamond jubilee celebration of Sainik School Bhubaneswar. My congratulations to all of you on this glorious occasion.”

The school was set up by former chief minister Biju Patnaik in 1962. After sixty glorious years, the educational institution has become a benchmark for quality education, character-building, and personality enrichment, said Naveen.

The school has not only produced some of the finest soldiers of India but also a large number of its cadets have made significant achievements in the fields of Civil Services, Medicine, Engineering, Merchant Navy, entrepreneurship, and several other fields.

The strength of our education system does not lie in academic excellence but rests in the ability to empower the students with the knowledge, confidence, responsibility, and the ability to think and face situations of life independently, he said.

“I hope the school will continue to bring about the desired transformation in our future citizens. I would like to urge the young cadets to seize each and every opportunity that they get, and live up to the expectations of the school as well as the nation,” said the Chief Minister.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Diamond Jubilee Logo of Sainik School, Bhubaneswar was unveiled on January 20, 2022.
