Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hoisted the Tricolour at the state-level Independence Day function here on Saturday.
This was the CM’s first public event since the COVID-19 induced lockdown started in Odisha in March.
Earlier on Rath Yatra in July, Naveen had attended his office at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Otherwise, he has preferred to confine himself to Naveen Niwas.
Also on Saturday, Secretary (5T) to CM, VK Pandian, drove Naveen to the venue of the state-level Independence Day function. This marked a departure from past with a senior IAS officer driving the CM’s vehicle.
