Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has termed the alleged abuses hurled at Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a dais during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in poll-bound Bihar as “unfortunate”.
“It is extremely unfortunate that during a political rally of Rahul Gandhi in Bihar, indecent and disrespectful remarks were made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and his late mother,” the CM posted on his X handle late on Thursday.
Majhi further noted that the incident exposed “inferior mentality” and ‘frustration’ of Rahul Gandhi’s Congress and his allied parties. He added that the people of India will never tolerate such remarks and give a befitting reply.

The accused, Mohammad Rizvi alias Raja, is a resident of Bhapura village in Singhwara.
A political row had erupted in poll-bound Bihar after a video clip of a small podium with no prominent leader, but a person screaming an expletive against PM Modi into the mic emerged on Thursday. It was the same spot from where Rahul Gandhi, her sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Vadra and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had left for Muzaffarpur on motorcycles.
Following this, the BJP lodged a complaint at Kotwali police station in Patna over the alleged remark and demanded an apology from the Congress MP.
