Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated a 200-bed COVID hospital at Bhawanipatna, in a virtual ceremony on Saturday.
The hospital, set up under the aegis of the Anil Agarwal Foundation, will be managed by the government. It is a fully oxygenated facility having 16 ICUs and as many High Dependency Units (HDU) with ventilator support. The hospital has a paediatric ward for attending to potential COVID cases in children.
The CM thanked Vedanta management and its chairman Anil Agarwal for their support to convert Government Engineering College into a COVID facility at Bhawanipatna.
“The COVID Hospital is our humble dedication to the people of Odisha. May it serve them well,” said Agarwal.
Besides the Vedanta group chairman, the function was also attended by ministers Naba Kishore Das and Divyashankar Mishra.
