Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each for the kin of the six persons, who died after a truck carrying them overturned amid heavy rain in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district this morning.
The CM also expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
Naveen also directed for proper medical treatment of the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.
Nine person were injured in the accident which took place in Dwarasuni ghat area on National Highway-49. They have been admitted to PRM Medical College and Hospital, Baripada.

The truck was also loaded with lights and other instrument worth around lakhs of rupees, belonging to Dhauli Gananatya, a jatra group.
