Odisha CM Felicitates ‘Hausla’ Participants, Announces Cash Prizes For Winners

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated Odia participants of Hausla 2018 at the State Secretariat here on Monday.

The Chief Minister declared Rs 50,000 for the participants, who secured first position and Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 for second and third rank holders respectively.

Appreciating the performance of the participants, her invited them to watch a match at the on-going Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 at the Kalinga Stadium here.

Notably, Hausla is a National Festival for Children residing in Child Care Institutions (CCIs). It was organised from November 26 to 29 in New Delhi.

A total of 37 participants, below 18 years of age, from different Child Care Institutions in Odisha had participated in football, chess, athletics, painting and debate competitions during the event and won 14 gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

Odisha’s performance was best among 18 states, which have participated in the event.
