Odisha CM Hails Collector For His Humanitarian Act

Bhubaneswar:  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik heaped praises on Bhadrak Collector Gyana Das for saving the life of an accident victim.

In a tweet, Naveen on Thursday said that the collector’s selfless-dedication and devotion to public service is laudable.

 

According to reports, Das was on his way to attend a Governor’s event in the town when he saw a man in a pool of blood, wreathing in pain, on NH 16. He immediately rushed him to the district headquarters hospital in his own car and asked the doctors to provide him the best of treatment. The victim was identified as Dasaratha Maharana (42), a native of Simulia under Balasore district. He had met with an accident while approaching Bhadrak town on a two-wheeler.

News of the collector’s action has evoked admiration from the citizens of the town.
