Bhubaneswar: In keeping with celebration mood during Dussehra, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his Cabinet colleagues will visit puja pandals in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The Chief Minister along with the members of his Council of Ministers will visit various Durga Puja pandals in the capital city as well as in the Silver City of Cuttack, said
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Ekamra Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh said the chief minister and his council of ministers would go to the pandals in Bhubaneswar to attend Ashtami puja on Friday and those in Cuttack on Saturday on the occasion of Navami.
They are scheduled to visit the puja pandals at Rasulgarh, Baramunda, Nayapalli, Old Station Bazar, Laxmisagar, Sundarpada and a few others in Bhubaneswar, said the MLA.
Meanwhile, the rush of people visiting the puja pandals in both cities went up on the occasion of Saptami on Thursday. Considering the heavy crowd at the pandals, necessary security arrangements have been made for the visit of the ministers, Singh said.
