Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday inaugurated nine new galleries of Odisha State Museum in Bhubaneswar.
The galleries that were inaugurated are prehistoric, royal & tusks, zoological, mines & geology, masks, toys, tribal, handicraft and introductory room. The chief minister went around the galleries after inauguration.
Appreciating the new galleries, Majhi said the state museum is a reflection of history, culture, traditions and lifestyle of the Odias. The new galleries truly reflected not only the history but also geography of the state, he added.
The chief minister also released four books on the occasion. He was accompanied by ministers Prithviraj Harichandan and Suryabansi Suraj, MLA Babu Singh and senior officers.
