Bhubaneswar: The Bijepur Assembly constituency in Odisha’s Bargarh district is all set to witness a high voltage poll campaign on Tuesday as Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik and senior BJP leader and Union Information and Broadcasting and Textiles Minister Smriti Irani will campaign for their party candidates.
As per the schedule, the Chief Minister will leave Bhubaneswar on Tuesday at 11.55 AM in a helicopter and arrive at the helipad at Barpali at 12 PM. After addressing a public meeting at Barpali, he will visit Barpali, Kumbhari and Agalapur and campaign for his party candidate Rita Sahu.
After having a night halt at the Circuit House in Bargarh, Patnaik will begin his poll campaign in various areas of Gaisilat and Bijepur Blocks on the next day. During his tour, Patnaik will be accompanied by senior party leaders and ministers.
On the other hand, Union Minister Smriti Irani will arrive at the Gaisilat at 10 AM and address a public meeting in presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, party’s Odisha in-charge Arun Singh, leader of the BJP legislature party KV Singhdeo, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Pradip Purohit, Sangeeta Kumari Singhdeo, Ollywood actor Mihir Das and senior party leaders of Bargarh district.
Later, she will address a public meeting at Bijepur at 11.30 AM and then at Mihirpada at 1.45 PM.
In view of the visit of the Chief Minister and Irani, elaborate security arrangements have been made by the district police.
