Odisha CM Launches Dedicated Portal For Health Insurance Of Working Journalists; Know How To Apply

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched a portal exclusively for the health insurance of the working journalists of the state.

The portal – https://.owjws.odisha.gov.in – which was rolled out by the CM virtually, seeks to facilitate health insurance for working journalists of the state.

While inaugurating the facility, the Chief Minister said that journalism is not merely a profession, but a mission for nation-building. Emphasising the health insurance of mediapersons, Naveen said the government will provide all support for the journalists who are contributing a lot to the society.

The working journalists in the state can render their details in the website and apply for the benefits of Gopabandhu Journalists’ Health Insurance. This process was earlier being done in offline mode. The online mode has been introduced  from this year.

Process of applying :

  1. Visit the website and click on the ”Apply for Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana’.
  2. In the first stage, fill up personal details.
  3. In the second stage, fill up details of educational qualifications.
  4. In the third stage, provide details of the dependent family members.
  5. In the fourth stage, provide details of the organization working in .
  6. Now save and submit. You receive a message “Application Successful”
