Bhubaneswar: In a boost to connectivity, the Odisha government on Saturday launched Mo Bus services in Berhampur and Sambalpur cities of the state.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off the Mo Bus fleets for the two cities through video conference.
In Sambalpur, as many as 15 buses will ply via four routes with 83 stoppages connecting Sambalpur Junction, Samaleswari temple, Burla and Hirakud, sources said.
Similarly, a total of15 buses will operate in Berhampur on four routes with 87 stoppages connecting MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Engineering School, Berhampur University and the railway station.
This will be a major milestone in aiding convenience of the people to commute through public transport.
The Mo Bus service in Sambalpur and Berhampur will provide convenient and efficient transportation options for its residents and visitors. With a variety of routes covering different parts of the two cities and surrounding areas, people can commute hassle-free within the city and nearby areas, said an official.
