Odisha CM Meets Delegates Of 34 Countries & Global Investors In New Delhi

Bhubaneswar: In the run-up to Utkarsh Odisha-Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting with representatives of different countries and global investors in New Delhi on Thursday.

According to official sources, Majhi met the ambassadors, high commissioners, consul-generals, trade commissioners and senior diplomats of 34 countries. During the meeting, he showcased Odisha’s vibrant industrial ecosystem and emerging investment opportunities, besides supportive policies, ease of doing business and ongoing efforts to create an investor-friendly environment.

“I had a fruitful discussion with the representatives of different countries. We expect a good investment in the semi-conductor, petrochemicals, IT, green energy, electronics and food processing sectors,” Majhi said.

The representatives of Indonesia, Norway, Singapore, China, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, the USA, Thailand, Vietnam and the UK attended the meeting.

Later in the day, the chief minister also held one-to-one discussion with representatives of international companies, industry bodies such as FICCI, CII, associations of auto-parts and apparels. He informed them about Odisha’s industrial potential, conducive policies, ease of doing business and an investor-friendly environment.

Taking to the X, the chief minister said he met the representatives of major global investors including Adobe India, Moglix, Indorama an Petronet LNG and invited them to Utkarsh Odisha conclave.

Before leaving for New Delhi, Majhi had told the media that his government targets to generate Rs 5 lakh crore investment during next five years and emerge as the favourite destination of investors. The state will host Utkarsh Odisha on January 28 and 29 next year.

Odisha Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, chief secretary Manoj Ahuja and senior government officials attended the meeting.
