Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday and discussed different issues relating to the state’s development.
Expressing his gratitude towards the Prime Minister, Majhi and said he was grateful for his unwavering support for Odisha’s development.
The two leaders held discussions regarding various initiatives for the development of Odisha, future course of action, proper co-ordination between the Centre and state and efforts to speed up overall growth.
“On this occasion, important discussions were held regarding various developmental activities in Odisha, future strategies, coordination between the Centre and the state, and accelerating the state’s overall progress. The Centre and the state are committed to working together to achieve the goal of a prosperous Odisha and a developed India,” the Chief Minister said in a post on X.
In another post, Majhi said, “Today, I had a courtesy meeting with Odisha’s pride, President Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On this occasion, we discussed Odisha’s development journey, our roadmap for building a prosperous Odisha, and how to further accelerate the state’s development through effective coordination between the Centre and the state.”
It may be noted that the Chief Minister had met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday. Majhi and Singh held discussions on issues related to the country’s defence sector and various schemes of the Odisha government.
The Chief Minister presented the Odisha Vision Document 2026 and 2047 to the Defence Minister.
