Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi left for a three-day visit to New Delhi on Monday evening.
According to official sources, the Chief Minister is scheduled to attend a review meeting on national highway construction organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the forenoon of Tuesday
Apart from attending the meeting, Majhi is also likely to hold discussions with the National Highway Authorities of India (NHAI) regarding construction of highways in the state. Besides, he will meet a host of Union Ministers to discuss Odisha-related issues.
Sources further said that Majhi may call on some BJP central leaders during his stay in the national capital.
The CM is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar in the forenoon on August 14.
The next day, the Chief Minister will hoist the National Flag during the State-level Independence Day celebration at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar and address the people of the state.
