New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi along with Deputy CMs KV Singhdeo and Pravati Parida called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.
Besides discussing various issues related to the state, they extended an invite to her for Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri. Murmu is scheduled to embark on a 3-day visit to Odisha and also participate in the annual event in Puri on July 7, her first since assuming the highest office of the country.
Notably, Majhi, KV and Pravati left for the national capital last evening after receiving a call from the PMO. The trio are also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari and Dharmendra Pradhan later in the day.
A meeting is also scheduled with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at 7 pm.

This is Majhi’s maiden trip to Delhi after assuming charge as chief minister of the first BJP government in Odisha on June 12. The trio is also slated to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda during their stay in the national capital till June 29.
