Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Mohan Majhi went on his knees to pay obeisance before entering Lok Seva Bhawan here to commence work at CMO, which is situated on the third floor of the building, on Thursday.
Majhi was accorded a grand welcome on his arrival at Loka Seva Bhawan. He entered his chamber amid chanting of Vedic hymns by priests. Deputy CM K V Singhdeo, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and other senior officials were present.
The CM had been functioning first floor of the state guest house, which was temporarily converted into CMO, since assuming the post as the third floor of the state secretariat was being renovated and refurbished. Though he had presided over the first cabinet meeting in Lok Seva Bhawan, he had not visited the chamber earmarked for the chief minister on third floor.
