Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will on Sunday conduct an aerial survey of areas affected by recent heavy rainfall in Odisha.
CM Majhi will cover badly-affected areas in Ganjam, Koraput and Nabarangpur districts during his aerial survey.
Revenue and Disaster Management minister Suresh Pujari and Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Rajesh Prabhakar Patil will accompany Majhi.
The chief minister will leave Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here around 8.15 am on Sunday and inspect rain-affected areas of Ganjam before landing at Jeypore airport in Koraput district at 10.15 am.
CM Majhi is scheduled to review the flood situation at Kotpad in Koraput and hold discussions with senior officials at Jeypore to assess the situation and review response measures.
Majhi will check rain-affected areas of Nabarangpur in the afternoon before returning to the capital city by 4.15 pm.
The recent deep depression over the Bay of Bengal resulted in heavy rainfall and flooding in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Nabarangpur.
