Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to leave for New Delhi on Sunday on a three-day visit to the national capital.
As per official sources, Majhi is scheduled to attend a meeting of Chief Ministers and Home Ministers of Left-Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected states convened by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The meeting, to be chaired by Amit Shah, is aimed to take an update on the ongoing offensive and also discuss developmental projects being implanted in their respective jurisdictions.
This apart, the Chief Minister is also scheduled to attend few other programmes during the visit to Delhi. He is also likely to meet a few Union Ministers and discuss important issues relating to development and welfare programmes.
Majhi is also likely to meet some senior national leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and discuss organisational matters as the saffron party is stepping up its membership drive to strengthen its base in the state.
This will be his second visit to the National Capital in a week after his two-day trip to New Delhi when he met envoys of 34 countries and business tycoons to attract investment ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make In Odisha Conclave-2025. .

CM Majhi had emphasised that the state anticipates investment proposals in key sectors like semiconductors, information technology (IT), green energy, petrochemicals, electronics, and food processing.
Before leaving for New Delhi earlier this week, Majhi had stated that the state government aims to attract Rs five lakh crore in investments in five years, which could be a game-changer for the state’s economic trajectory.
