Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will leave for New Delhi on Friday to attend the NITI Aayog meeting scheduled to be held on Saturday.
As per official sources, the Chief Minister Majhi will attend the crucial meeting, which is likely to take up different developmental issues and policy matters for discussion.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja is also expected to accompany the CM during the important meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to chair NITI Aayog’s ninth Governing Council meeting, which will discuss the ‘Vikshit Bharat@2047’ document to make India a developed nation.
The Council, the apex body of NITI Aayog, includes all state Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, and several Union Ministers.
Notably, NITI Aayog has been functioning as the premier policy-making body of the country since its inception in 2015.
As per reports, chief ministers some states are set to boycott the NITI Aayog meeting protesting alleged discriminatory Union Budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday.
