Bhubaneswar/Puri: With the maiden BJP government completing 100 days in Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday will address a public meeting in Puri and present his report card to the people.
Official sources said Majhi, who took oath as CM on June 12, will visit Shree Jagannath Temple on the occasion before addressing a gathering at Saradha Bali, which will also host a special exhibition. Two deputy CMs — K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida — besides other ministers and MLAs will attend.
Similar meetings will be held at the district level where the govt will apprise people about the work done in the 100 days, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling told reporters.
State party president Manmohan Samal, who has been credited for the BJP’s phenomenal victory in the state, said, “The government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has fulfilled all major promises made in the election manifesto in the first 100 days of coming to power. We have achieved what no previous government could. We have the unique distinction of not only fulfilling the promises but possess the courage to give the report card of our performance. We are going to present the report card of the first 100 days of Odisha government.”
He cited opening of Shree Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar and all four gates, implementation of Subhadra Yojana and increasing MSP as some of the key achievements of the government.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Puri for this event with deployment of 40 platoon police force.
