Cuttack: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi watched the One Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and England at the historic Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday.
The Chief Minister, who had purchased the first ticket for the second ODI match, was accorded a warm welcome soon after he arrived at the stadium to witness the thrilling encounter. While welcoming the CM, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Sanjay Behera presented him a memento.
“Enjoying the ODI match between India and England at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack in the presence of thousands of cricket lovers and fans. It is truly a matter of pride and honour for all of us to have such an international match in the state,” the Chief Minister said in a post on X handle.
Besides Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, several other Ministers and a host of other dignitaries were seen witnessing the match at the historic stadium.
Special arrangements were made for the VVIPs in the legendary box near the old pavilion beside the Club Tower.
