Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik left for New Delhi on a two-day visit on Saturday.
According to official sources, the CM will attend the meeting of the National Committee For 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence at Rashtrapati Bhawan Cultural Centre at 4.30 pm to be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers and Governors of different states.
On Sunday, he will be attending the seventh NITI Ayog’s Governing Council Meeting at 9.45 am at the same venue, before returning to the state the following day at 11 am.
The council comprises the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories, Lt Governors of other UTs, Ex-Officio Members, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, full-time members, NITI Aayog, and special invitees. Issues related to economy, agriculture and health are expected to be taken up for discussion. The council may also discuss implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), urban governance, health and crop diversification, official sources said.
