Bhubaneswar: Ace sprinter Dutee Chand has been nominated for the prestigious BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year award.
Following the announcement, Chief Minister on Tuesday congratulated the champion sprinter from Odisha for being an inspiration.
“Congratulations #Odisha’s ace sprinter @DuteeChand on being nominated for BBC Indian Sportswomen of the year. Wish her the very best and wish her to keep inspiring,” the CM tweeted.
In his congratulatory tweet to Dutee, Union Minister and Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi hailed the nomination as a proud moment for Odisha.
