Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate his birthday on Wednesday in view of the plight of the people who are affected by the devastating cyclone Fani and the resultant massive loss in Odisha.
This the sixth time the CM has taken such a decision.

He took this decision for the first time on his 66th birthday in honour of the flood victims that year.
2013
He did not wish to celebrate his birthday on account of the tragedy of Cyclone Phailin.
2014
This time it was Cyclone Hudhud.
2016
He gave his birthday celebrations a miss in honour of the soldiers who died in Jammu and Kashmir.
2018
He did not want to celebrate his birthday on account of Cyclone Titli.
2019
This time round the devastation caused by Cyclone Fani is fresh in his mind.
“The people of Odisha are my family. Their blessings are a great inspiration for me. I am very happy that Jeevan Bindu blood donation camp will be organised tomorrow,” said Naveen through a press release.
He requested his well wishers and party members to go to their nearest orphanages and schools for differently-abled students instead of coming to Naveen Nivas.
