Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday paid homage to the brave soldiers, who had laid down their lives during the Kargil war in 1999.
“Tributes to the brave soldiers of India who lost their lives on line of duty at Kargil 1999. On 19th Kargil Vijay Diwas, I offer homage to the brave hearts who fought exemplary valour in victory of our Motherland”, the Chief Minister said in a tweet message.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed on July 26 every year to commemorate the victory in the war against Pakistan in the Kargil-Dras sector of Jammu and Kashmir in 1999.
