Odisha CM, Political Leaders Mourn Death Of Journalist Arindam Das

Bhubaneswar: The death of journalist Arindam Das in a boat tragedy  while covering the elephant rescue operation live came as a shock for political leaders as well as people from different sections of the society. The social media sites were flooded with condolences for the young and brave reporter who died on Friday.

A pal of gloom descended on the media fraternity as well.

Sending his condolences, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik stated that Arindam’s death is an irreparable loss to the world of journalism in Odisha. “I pray for his soul to rest in peace. And pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.”

National vice-president of the BJP Baijayant Panda termed him as a hero and sent deepest condolences to his family.

Here are the other prominent personalities who mourned the demise of a young journalist. The CEO of Dadabhai Group and VP-Bahrain India Culture & Arts Society was also among the first few to tweet his unbelief about Arindam’s death
