Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik praised the Puri servitors, police, administration, public and other staff for smooth conduct of Rath Yatra.
“The world famous Rath Yatra was conducted peacefully with all the Corona guidelines. Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja, Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalana and Lord Jagannath’s Nandigosha chariots reached Gundicha temple. I thank all the servitors for smooth conduct of the festival,” said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He also commended the temple administration, Puri district administration, police and other staff who worked day and night for the annual event.
The CM also praised the citizens of Puri for their discipline and adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines by staying home.
Lord Jagannath’s Nandigosha chariot reached Gundicha temple around 5.40 pm for the annual sojourn.
The chariot of Lord Balabhadra had reached the temple around 4 pm and that of Devi Subhadra at 5.30 pm.
All three chariots are now parked at Saradha Bali in front of the temple.
