Odisha CM Releases COVID Package For 26 Lakh Construction Workers

Bhubaneswar: A COVID package of Rs 385 crore for 26 lakh construction workers in Odisha was released by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.

All the registered construction workers will be paid Rs 1,500 each.

Releasing the COVID assistance Naveen said “Construction workers play an important role in building the economy of the country. Nations are built on their hard work and sacrifices.”

The construction workers also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for this assistance.

Naveen interacted with Rabindra Pradhan of Ganjam, Navagan Parida of Cuttack, Keshab Pradhan of Bargarh, Renu Minj of Sundargarh.

Minister for Labour and ESI, Rural Development Minister Sushant Singh also joined the virtual event.
