Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has released Rs 60 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for feeding stray animals during the lockdown period.
The released amount will be utilised in 5 Municipal Corporations, 48 Municipalities and 61 NACS in the state.
While the Municipal Corporations of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur and Berhampur will be utilising Rs 20,000, it is 48 Municipalities of Rs 5,000 each and Rs 2,000 each for NACS to feed the cattle, dogs and birds during the lockdown period.
The money will be utilised by the civic bodies to feed stray animals and birds by engaging NGOs and social organisations.
