Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday relished traditional Odia lunch at the house of a dalit BJP worker in Bhubaneswar.
The Chief Minister, who participated BJP’s massive membership drive in the state capital, visited the house of the party worker during the special campaign.
Sources said Majhi had his lunch at the house party worker Biswanath Sethi along with other leaders, including Ekamra-Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh.
On the occasion of Dutia/Dwitiya ritual, Sethi’s family served the Chief Minister special Ghanta dish – a traditional Odia cuisine of mixed vegetables along with other delicacies.
The CM was served water rice (pakhala), mustard mushroom, potato chutney, bhaji, dahi-baigan, potal kurma, badhi chura and the Dwitiya special ghanta.
It may be noted that BJP is conducting a membership drive across the state with a goal to add one crore new members in Odisha as part of its nation-wide memberhip drive.
