Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned Rs 35.84 crore for 148 panchayats under seven blocks of seven districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,506 projects after interacting with the block representatives.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 2.83 crore has been allocated for 87 projects in 12 panchayats under Tangarapali block of Sundargarh district.
Likewise, 2.20 crore will be spent on 143 projects in 11 panchayats under Korkunda block of Malkangiri district, Rs 4.88 crore for 323 projects in 20 panchayats under Banki block of Cuttack district, Rs 5.28 crore for 216 projects in 21 panchayats under Kamakhyanagar block of Dhenkanal district.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned Rs 7.63 crore for 268 projects in 30 panchayats under Mahakalapada block of Kendrapada district, Rs 6.50 crore for 236 projects in 26 panchayats under Tangi block of Khordha district and Rs 6.52 crore for 233 projects in 28 panchayats under Kanasa block of Puri district.
“All these allocated money are for the people of Odisha,” Naveen said. He advised the people and block representatives to ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.
The villagers and the representatives also thanked the CM for the projects.
