Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned Rs 67,52,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for feeding stray animals in urban areas during the extended lockdown period.
Of the funds sanctioned, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will spend Rs 20,000, per day. Besides, four other municipal corporations and 48 municipalities each can spend Rs 10,000 per day. As many as 48 other municipalities can each spend Rs 5000 and 61 notified area councils (NACs) can spend Rs 2,000 each per day.
The CM had earlier sanctioned Rs 1,13,94,000 in two phases this year for this purpose.
