Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to embark upon a five-day visit to New Delhi and Rajasthan from Thursday.
As per sources, the Chief Minister is slated to leave for Rajasthan on Thursday to attend several important meetings. During his stay in Rajasthan, Majhi is scheduled to attend the 55th GST council meeting to be held at Jaisalmer on December 21.
The meeting will focus on several key topics including the GST framework for life and health insurance, tax rate rationalisation, and revisions to GST slabs. Ahead of this meeting, on December 16, the Group of Ministers (GoM) on health insurance submitted its recommendations to state and central revenue officials. These proposals will be examined by the Council during the Jaisalmer session.
The CM is slated to leave Rajasthan for New Delhi on December 21. He is expected to meet some Union Ministers and top leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and discuss important issues related to the state during his stay in the national capital. Majhi is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar on December 23, the sources added.
