Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be laying the foundation stone for expansion of Odisha Bhawan at Vashi in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday.
The expansion plan includes a state-of-the-art accommodation facility and funds for the project have been approved by the state government. It will cater to the needs of people from Odisha, who visit Mumbai in large numbers for different works, particularly cancer treatment.
He is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar this evening.
Notably, Naveen flew to the Financial Capital on Tuesday after a two-day visit to Hyderabad, where he attended the last investors’ meet ahead of the Make in Odisha conclave later this year.
This is his second visit to Mumbai in almost a month. In September, he met several industrialists like K M Birla, Anil Agarwal and Anand Mahindra, top bankers and financial wizards during his 3-day visit to the Financial Capital of India, ahead of the curtain raiser event for the third edition of ‘Make in Odisha’ conclave, which is slated to be held in Bhubhaneshwar from November 30 to December 4.
Before flying back to Bhubaneswar, Naveen also rang the opening bell of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
