Bhubaneswar: The grievance cell of Odisha chief minister has been closed due to Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
A press release from the chief minister’s office on Sunday said, following the notification of general elections by the Election Commission of India, the model code of conduct has come into effect in the state.
As the model code is in force, the chief minister’s grievance cell will remain closed till the election process i over, the release stated.
On Saturday, the joint hearing of Monday public grievances by DMs and SPs had been adjourned. In an official letter to the district collectors and SPs, chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena stated that the model code of conduct has come into force with announcement of dual elections in the state.
In view of the model code of conduct, the hearing of grievances by the district magistrate and SP on every Monday has been adjourned till the end of election process.
