Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s scheduled visit to Mayurbhanj district was cancelled as his helicopter reportedly developed some snag on Sunday afternoon.
According to sources, the chopper which was to take the Chief Minister to Mayurbhanj from Keonjhar developed some technical snag. Therefore, Majhi’s scheduled visit to Mayurbhanj had to be cancelled.
The Chief Minister, who had embarked on a three-day visit to his home district Keonjhar on Friday, was slated to proceed to Mayurbhanj on Sunday to attend some events. However, he will now be returning to Bhubaneswar by road without visiting Mayurbhanj as per the revised programme, the sources added.
Notably, the CM was on a three-day visit to attend a host of events marking the completion of 100 days of BJP government in Odisha.
