Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday gave compulsory retirement to Additional SP Trinath Mishra, who has been arrested on charges of amassing Disproportionate Assets (DA).
Mishra, Additional SP, Tulasipur, Cuttack, was given compulsory retirement as part of the state government’s zero tolerance policy towards corruption, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated.
Vigilance officials raided 11 locations in Cuttack, Khurda, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur and Nabarangpur districts last week and found movable and immovable properties worth around Rs 9 crore from his possession. Mishra was later arrested.
His love for luxurious vehicles, including a luxurious crossover sports utility vehicle worth Rs 1.11 crore, with fancy registration plates ending with ‘0005’ set him apart from other officials caught recently.
